James W. Oberweis, CFA



President and Portfolio Manager

Jim is President of Oberweis Asset Management and oversees all investment research at Oberweis. He has spent his entire career managing portfolios of high growth, small cap companies. Jim is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Jim earned an MBA with high honors from the University of Chicago and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois. He has been a featured guest on CNBC and Bloomberg television and authors a growth stock column for Forbes. Jim is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), the Economic Club of Chicago, the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago, and the CFA Institute.

Martin L. Yokosawa



Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager

Martin joined Oberweis Asset Management in 1987 and is a Portfolio Manager for the firm’s domestic strategies. Martin earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS in Finance from Northern Illinois University. He was previously employed at The Chicago Corporation and Hamilton Investments. Martin has been a guest on CNBC and Bloomberg television and has provided commentary on various investment issues to Investor’s Business Daily and The Wall Street Journal.

Kenneth S. Farsalas, CFA



Vice President and Portfolio Manager

Ken joined Oberweis Asset Management, Inc. in November 2004 and is a Portfolio Manager for the firm’s domestic strategies. He has over 14 years of investment industry experience. Previously, he was employed at Dearborn Partners LLC, where he was a Managing Director and the Director of Research. Prior to that, Ken worked as a small cap Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Sterling Johnston Capital Management, and began his career at SEI Capital Resources as an Investment Consultant. Ken is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He earned an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago and a BS in Journalism and Economics from Northwestern University. He is a member of the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago and the CFA Institute. Ken has been featured on Forbes.com and has provided commentary on various investment issues to Investor’s Business Daily, Reuters and Bloomberg.

David I. Covas, CFA



Vice President and Portfolio Manager

Dave has spent his career at Oberweis Asset Management, joining the firm in July 1997. He is currently a Portfolio Manager for the firm’s domestic strategies. Dave is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation as well as a CFP® certificant. He earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS in Finance with honors from the University of Illinois. He has been a guest of Bloomberg television and is a member of the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago and the CFA Institute.

Kevin Cowell



Associate Analyst

Kevin joined Oberweis Asset Management in August 2006 as an Associate Analyst. Kevin earned a BS in Finance and Accountancy with high honors from the University of Illinois. He is currently pursuing the CFA designation and is a CFA Level III candidate.

Jim E. Chartrand



Director of Trading

Jim joined Oberweis Asset Management in June 2005 as the Director of Trading and has over 15 years of investment industry experience. Previously, Jim was a Senior Equity Trader at Waddell & Reed Investment Management Company in Kansas City. He also worked for Paladin Investment Associates as Director of Trading, where he was responsible for managing all aspects of the equity trading desk. He began his career with Investment Advisers, Inc. in 1992, where he held various positions within the operations and trading departments. Jim earned a double major in Finance and Economics from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a member of Security Traders Association of Chicago.

Patrick B. Joyce, CPA



Executive Vice President

Pat is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Oberweis Asset Management, Inc. and is responsible for administering OAM’s accounting and compliance policies and procedures. He joined Oberweis Asset Management, Inc. in 1994. Pat earned a BBA in Accounting from Cleveland State University and has in excess of 23 years of experience in the financial services industry. He was previously employed with The Chicago Corporation, Carr Asset Management, Inc./Indosuez Carr Futures, Inc., and Selected Financial Services, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Kemper Financial Services. He is a member of the Illinois CPA Society, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Society of Compliance Professionals.

Brian K. Lee



Director of Marketing & Client Service

Brian joined Oberweis Asset Management in April of 2002 to establish and lead the firm’s institutional marketing and client service efforts. Brian earned an MBA from Loyola Marymount University and a BA in Finance from Loyola Marymount University. Previously, he was employed by Delaware Investments/Lincoln Financial Distributors, where he served as a Director of Marketing. Prior to that, he worked for Wilshire Associates in both marketing and client service roles.
